Dear Mr. Biddulph,
You probably don't remember me but I remember how you eased my mind at a time of great stress.
I kept the bill you sent. I came across it the other day when I was getting rid of a lot of old business papers (and a lot of old memories)
As when I first got it, it brought tears to my eyes. No- not in a shock/horror way- but in delight.
I had been expecting to pay the full amount and was happy to for the work you did for me, but to have the bill reduced by so much- and so graciously- was such a ray of sunshine in what had been a very stormy time.
I have always wanted to let you know how much your gesture meant for one new widow and now seems like a good opportunity.
Yours sincerely,
– Yvonne H.
